Bionime has been developing CGM for nearly a decade, integrating over 80 different technological fields. Through thousands of failures in overcoming technical bottlenecks, Bionime discovered viable solutions from these experiences and, through continuous improvement in the pursuit of excellence, has built its own CGM technology know-how. This process led to the creation of over 400 patents (with more than 200 international patents granted). Bionime also developed over 200 automated production devices for CGM manufacturing processes and an intelligent process control system with CIM+MES, achieving an industrial 4.0-level CGM production line. By the end of 2023, Bionime obtained Taiwan’s first domestically produced CGM certification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

It aims to fulfill its mission of “providing high-quality and affordable CGM, making CGM accessible to those who need it,” and realize its vision of “Better Blood Glucose Control, Healthier Life.” Bionime hopes to collaborate with Taiwan’s diabetes care leaders to drive the “popularization of CGM in Taiwan,” enabling healthcare professionals to “care for more patients” with “greater accuracy, speed, and ease.”

The World Health Organization (WHO) urges the development of a healthy “lifestyle” to “prevent or delay” the harm of diabetes. One of the key reports from the CGM app, “TIR% (Time In Range),” is the “soul and core spirit” of CGM. TIR is a “key indicator” of “lifestyle” and maintaining TIR above 70% can prevent the “occurrence or deterioration” of diabetes. It is expected that in the future, more than 15% of CGM devices will be used as lifestyle improvement indicators for “healthy and sub-healthy individuals.”
